The Site Coordinator is a representative of a community or group who collaborates with various community resources to plan, organize, publicize, and implement a fun and educational health fair.

- To become familiar with the components of a health fair; attend a training session offered annually by Alaska Health Fair, Inc.
- To maintain contact with local resources through meetings, telephone, and written communication in order to provide leadership, information, support and supervision as well as to secure support and resources for:
- Volunteers: medical and non-medical
- Equipment and Supplies: medical and non-medical
- Exhibits and Learning Centers
- Special Tests
- Publicity
- Local Financial support
- Local In-Kind support
- To maintain communication with Alaska Health Fair regarding health fair plans, progress, and evaluation.
- To facilitate and participate in volunteer training prior to the fair.
- To oversee set-up of site prior to the fair and to oversee quality control of site the day of the health fair.
- To supervise tabulation of test results.
- To have a wonderfully successful health fair event in your community or organization!
- Sincere interest in community service and health promotion, good organizational skills, and ability to communicate effectively with community groups and individuals.
- Approximately three months and 5-10 hours per week, depending on community involvement and delegation abilities.
